Collaborated within the applied communication studies (ACS) department at SIUE to teach four courses each semester. Served as outreach director, editing alumni newsletter and online communication. Built semester workload in a content management system, aided department in seeking innovative technology in delivering online course content and built connections across the university to help with student enrollment.

Built relationships with donors and foundations to fund agency programs. Created online and printed communication: newsletters, website, social media accounts, annual reports, blogs, and reports. Coordinated large events for fundraising, conference alumni and board of directors. Managed six part-time interns and 20 volunteers. Wrote and analyzed grant data and applications for entire program.

• Quadrupled fundraising profit during a single online “Give Day” in first year.

• Increased yearly funding eightfold through new grants, events and new donors.

Planned events and social media program to build relationships with HS alumni. Wrote and edited various district newsletters, press releases, online communication for eight schools and an alumni foundation. Managed over 50 volunteers and assisted 100 teachers in grant writing.
